Activity Report - Kobe University Engineering Summer School 2023

The Faculty and Graduate School of Engineering hosted the Kobe University Engineering Summer School 2023 for ten days from June 29 to July 12. A total of 22 students from RMIT University (Australia) and Mahidol University (Thailand) participated in this short-term program.

The program consisted of classes and laboratory tours by all the departments of our faculty; visits to companies, research organisations, and facilities related to engineering and technology; workshops to gain insight into the future from engineering-related perspectives; and a seminar by the Kobe University Career Center on job-hunting and workplace culture in Japan.

Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum

After the program, the participants had a wide range of comments, with many saying that the site visits were particularly impressive because they were precious opportunities to enter places and environments they would not usually have access to. In addition, having experienced lectures and laboratory tours by the various departments of the Faculty and Graduate School of Engineering at Kobe University, some respondents expressed a desire to consider Kobe University as a postgraduate destination.
